Ecowild
You are invited to join our embodied faith community as we listen together to God, to each other, and to the land. Through backpacking and sleeping on the land, communally praying and listening to the stories of scripture, and sharing our own stories, we will be formed to embody God's ways of justice and peace. In short, we will connect deeply with Creator, creation, and community.
Please complete this application by first choosing EcoWild Week 1 (three days) or Week 2 (seven days), based on your availability. After you are accepted, you will hear from an InterVarsity staff about how to register.

FAQs
How fit do I need to be? Do I need hiking or backpacking experience? All are welcome, and no experience is necessary. However, each week the team will be climbing mountains with steep and rugged trails. We suggest that participants should feel comfortable walking five miles with a forty pound backpack.
Do I need to buy gear? EcoWild will provide everything you need for food and shelter. You will need to bring a short list of gear that includes hiking boots, a backpack of at least 40 L, and a sleeping bag. Usually, items you do not already own can be borrowed from a friend or someone on the EcoWild team. You will receive more details after registration.
When should I expect to arrive and depart from EcoWild? For Week 1, plan to arrive before 12 PM on the first day and to depart before 6 PM on the last day. For Week 2, plan to arrive before 6 PM on the first day and depart before 6 PM on the last day. You will receive more details after registration.
How can I get to the White Mountain National Forest? We will do our best to coordinate car-pools from major cities in New England and from two airports: Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts and Manchester International Airport in Manchester, New Hampshire. You will receive more details after registration.
Is lodging available before or after EcoWild? If you need lodging before or after EcoWild due to your travel plans please talk with your InterVarsity staff and let us know during the registration process.
Are scholarships available? If the cost of EcoWild is a barrier to your attendance, please talk to your InterVarsity staff and indicate your need in this application.
