A Good Start in Manchester

The two first-year IV staff, Chelsea and Dave, have begun planting new ministry full-time this semester on two campuses in Manchester, UNH-Manchester and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).

In January, the new IV chapter at SNHU was recognized by the university as an official student organization.  This gives Dave permission to be on a campus and a parking pass (!), while also allowing the IV group to reserve room space on campus, use tables to advertise for Intervarsity, and enjoy the privileges all campus student orgs have.  In a time when many universities (such as Bowdoin College and Tufts University, among others) are actively kicking off existing Christian groups, the recognition at SNHU is nothing short of miraculous, and it flings the door wide open for a Gospel witness to be planted on campus!

Both groups at SNHU and UNH-M are putting in evangelistic DNA at the beginnings of the ministries.  UNH-M has two non-Christian students signed up for the upcoming Spring Break trip to Tampa, and Dave is starting a seeker Bible study with 5 non-Christian friends in an apartment at SNHU.  Both staff are doing really great work planting these IV chapters from Day 1 as witnessing communities looking to engage the secular edge of campus with the Gospel rather than simply "holy huddles" in which to gather Christian students.

Please join us in continuing to pray for the advancement of God's Kingdom on college campuses in Manchester!
